FE Report
At least 12 people were injured in a clash between two factions of Sramik League, a labour front of the ruling Awami League, at RAJUK head office in the city's commercial hub Motijheel over establishing supremacy on the premise.
The incident took place at noon Monday between the supporters of Shamsul Alam Milki, president of RAJUK Karmochari Sramik League, and the followers of Abdul Malek, a RAJUK staff and activist of Sramik League.
The injured people were taken to the adjacent clinics and hospitals.
The unruly activists used sticks and brickbats during the clash that lasted over half-an-hour damaging the main gate of RAJUK and windowpanes of some office rooms.
Malek alleged that the supporters of Milki suddenly attacked them while they were preparing to organise a rally in support of those 372 colleagues who were dismissed during the regime of BNP-led four party alliance.
