Supreme Court Secretariat gets going today

The Supreme Court Secretariat will be inaugurated today (Thursday).

Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Refaat Ahmed will inaugurate the Secretariat at an event scheduled to be held at 2:30 pm at Administrative Building-4 of the Supreme Court (SC) premises,

reports BSS.

Md Shafiqul Islam, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, confirmed the matter to the news agency on Wednesday.

Earlier, the government issued the Supreme Court Secretariat Ordinance,

2025 with the aim of ensuring full

independence of the judiciary.

Through this ordinance, the judiciary has been officially separated from the

executive branch.
