Take preparation to make budget successful: CA

Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed Friday asked the admin cadre officials to take necessary preparations for successful implementation of the national budget after its finalisation to reach its fruits to all classes of people, reports UNB.
"Success of the budget as well as the Annual Development Programme (ADP) depends on their implementation. Officials from the Secretariat to field-level will have to properly perform their respective duties so that people can enjoy its fruits," he said at the annual dinner of Bangladesh Administrative Service Association at the BIAM auditorium in the city.
Finance Adviser Mirza Azizul Islam announced the national budget for fiscal 2007-08 Thursday.
Citing a measure from the proposed budget, the Chief Adviser asked the admin cadre officials, particularly the field-level ones, to be careful so that the diesel subsidy earmarked for agriculture properly reach the farmers.
Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumdar, President of Bangladesh Administrative Service Association Abu Md Maniruzzaman Khan and newly recruited admin cadre official Mia Ching also spoke at the function.
Advisers to the caretaker government, secretaries, additional secretaries, joint secretaries, deputy commissioners, deputy secretaries along with their spouses attended the dinner.
