Tarique, wife, daughter get UK, German visas

BNP senior joint secretary general Tarique Rahman and his wife and daughter Tuesday got UK and German visas to pursue his overseas treatment, as he is now out of jail on bail, reports UNB.brHis counsel Adv Ahmed Azam Khan told the news agency that Tarique's physician, Dr Kazi Mazharul Islam Dolan, would also accompany him on his foreign trip.brTarique, the elder son of ex-premier and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman applied for the British visa Sunday and later also applied for German visa.brDr Dolan told journalists that before going abroad Tarique Rahman would visit the grave of his father, slain President Ziaur Rahman, to pay respect to him and also meet his detained mother and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. brBegum Zia is likely to be released within this week as she got bail in all four cases filed against her during the anti-graft drive under the state of emergency.brHealth condition of Tarique remains unchanged and he is physically weak. His waist and backbone pains are also still unchanged, Dolan said.br
