BANGKOK, June 15(AP): Thailand's national carrier Thai Airways International PCL is pulling out of an agreement to manage Bangladesh's second international airport in Chittagong.
"We are calculating our costs and will claim for the loss from Bangladesh," said Suparut Kawatkul, Thai Airways' vice chairman, late Thursday.
Bangladesh never handed over operations for the airport to Thai Airways, he said.
Thai Airways was scheduled to start managing Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong over a year ago.
The move had been delayed because of local opposition, said an airline official.
