The next 15 years: a vision for growth

October 27, 2008 00:00:00

FE Report
The DCCI International Business Conference (Oct 31-Nov l,2008) is designed for leaders and captains of industries both in developing and developed world. It is also for thought leaders and visionaries who think independently about various likely economic scenarios that the world economy is likely to face in the near future. Academics and futurologists in this wide band of theorists will find the conference relevant.
The conference is based on "The next fifteen years -- a vision for growth". The world economy seems to be on a slide. Prices of oil and food are shooting up. In major economies and with little or no growth stagflation could lead to economic recession in these countries. Growth in real terms seems to be receding from many parts of the world. In developing countries, the situation is getting worse and achieving Millennium development Goals (MDGs) will be out of their reach.
In this opening plenary, pundits from around the world will discuss what is happening and what requires to be done to initiate economic growth again. A keynote speaker Dr. Supachai Panitchpadki will introduce the topic.
