Three beaten to death in two incidents in Dhaka


Three people have been beaten to death in two separate incidents in Dhaka's Jatrabari and Wari, reports bdnews24.com.
The dead have been identified as Saidul Islam Yasin, 19, Saeed Arafat Sharif, 20, and Alamin Bhuiyan, 42.
They were pronounced dead after being brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.
Md Bachchu Mia, chief of the DMCH police outpost, said the youths, Yasin and Sharif, were killed in an attack by an angry mob in the Jatrabari Thana area while Alamin was allegedly beaten to death following a dispute over property in Wari.
The bodies of the three have been kept at DMCH morgue for autopsies. The incidents have also been reported to the concerned police stations, he said.
According to the DMCH police outpost, Yasin and Sharif were brought to the hospital from Jatrabari around 10am on Wednesday. Sharif was declared dead upon his arrival at the hospital. Yasin passed away around 10:55am.
Bachchu Mia said the young men were left after being beaten in the capital's Sayedabad area. Unidentified people took them to Jatrabari Police Station. A group of students rushed them to DMCH from there afterwards.
Yasin was the son of Shakhawat Hossain and Shilpi Akhtar, a couple from Jatrabari's Dholpur. Sharif's father's name is Kabir Hossain.
Meanwhile, the relatives of Alamin have alleged that he was killed over a land dispute in Wari's Hatkhola area. The deceased was the son of the late Shamsuddin from Wari's AKM Saha Lane.
Alamin was declared dead at 12:10pm after his relatives took him to DMCH after his attack.
