Three lynched in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Dec 10: Three unidentified dacoits were lynched at Hathazari of the district in the early hours Thursday. Another dacoit was severely injured. The police said some eight to 10 dacoits went to Peshkarhat market under Hathazari Upazila at about 4:00am. After beating up night guard Abu Ahmed they started looting cash and valuables from the shops. As Abu cried out for help the people from the surrounding area rushed to the scene and caught four dacoits after chasing them. The angry villagers beat them up ruthlessly killing three of them on the spot. Meanwhile, the police came and rescued one Tajul Islam.
