Trader murdered in city

A trader was killed Saturday at East Tejturipara in the capital. The victim was identified as Waliullah Kalu (40).
The incident took place in the afternoon at a residential building at 87 East Tejturipara.
Police arrested the alleged killer Alamgir Munna (32) from the spot.
Munna claimed to the police that he gave Tk 0.2 million as loan to Kalu. But Kalu did not repay it. Munna went to the 7th floor of the building where Kalu resided.
At one stage of altercation, Munna attacked Kalu with a sharp weapon. He died on the spot. Later, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, according to police.
"We will file the case after getting the autopsy report," Sub-Inspector of Tejgaon Police Station Shamim Sikder told the FE.
In another incident two labourers were electrocuted while working at around 4:00 pm at a home near Konapara Shantibagh Shamsul Haque School and College on the day.
The victims were identified as Parvez (19) and Ariful Islam (17).
The bodies were sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy, according to Demra Police Station. No case was filed till filling of the report at 7:30 pm.
In another incident, a maid servant was killed as she fell down from the rooftop of a five-storied building at Baro Magbazar.
The victim was identified as Fatema Akter (20). The incident took place at around 3:00 pm on the day. The cause of her falling from the rooftop was not known. She hailed from Mymensingh.
"Her body was sent to DMCH morgue. We will file case after getting the autopsy report," Sub-Inspector of Ramna Police Station Md Jewel Miah told the FE.
