Trawler capsize toll rises to 15

The death toll from capsize of two trawlers-one in the Buriganga and the other in the Meghna-rose to 15 on Friday with recovery of more bodies, reports UNB.
The death toll in Thursday's trawler capsize in the Buriganga at Aliganj Ghat under South Keraniganj rose to 10 with the recovery of two more bodies from the river on Friday.
The body of Jamila Khatun, 65, wife of late Abdur Rashid of Lalbagh in the capital, was recovered from the river around 10am and that of Rasel, 22, son of Rajkumar of Shahinnagar, in the afternoon, said deputy assistant director Mamtaj Uddin of Narayanganj Fire Service.
Four passengers still remained missing in the incident, claimed their relatives.
Earlier, divers recovered the bodies of eight passengers of the trawler from the river on Thursday.
The trawler coming from Beltali of Chandpur sank in the river after being hit by a sand-laden trawler around 11:45 am on Thursday.Most of the passengers managed to swim ashore or were rescued while several others went missing.On the other hand, the death toll from Wednesday's trawler capsize in the Meghna River near Bhasanchar in Gazaria upazila rose to five as police recovered another body from the river on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Keya Moni, 4, daughter of Abdul Kadir of Srimontrapur village in Chandina upazila of Comilla district.
Locals spotted the floating body of the minor girl in the Bhasarchar area and informed police.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the body.
