Unite and build country for equal benefits of all

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus Saturday made a clarion call for all to stand united and build a new Bangladesh with equitable opportunities for all sections of people.
"This is our responsibility to build the new Bangladesh," he said after meeting family members of martyred Abu Sayed in Rangpur, report agencies.
He said that all needed to come forward to build the new Bangladesh remembering the supreme sacrifice of Abu Sayed and others in the recent protests that led to the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government.

"Abu Sayed is the son of all families in Bangladesh," he said.
Prof Yunus said that students would remember Abu Sayed and would pledge to be like him.
"They will say, I will also fight for justice like Abu Sayed," he added.
He also said that Abu Sayed is now in every house of the country.
The martyr belongs to everyone, irrespective of their religion and background, he said.
The chief adviser urged all to remain vigilant so that there is no anarchy.
"We are all children of this soil -- we all are Abu Sayed," he said.
The interim government chief said that protecting all irrespective of their religion is the responsibility of all.
"We have to ensure this, and take a stand like Abu Sayed."
The Nobel laureate requested all not to create divisions among the people of Bangladesh. "We are all Bangladeshi, we  are all children of Bangladesh," he said.
He also noted that Bangladesh now stands united.
"This Bangladesh is the Bangladesh Abu Sayed wanted, there is no discrimination in this Bangladesh. My request to you all is protect everyone, let there be no anarchy out there," he said.
Dr Muhammad Yunus visited the house of Shaheed Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur (BRUR), killed in police firing during the students' quota -reform movement, to console his parents.
Dr Yunus also offered ziarat at Sayeed's grave and talked to his family members for some time after he arrived in Babanpur village of Pirganj upazila in the morning.
He handed over the national flag to Sayeed's parents and family members as well.
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan were present as they were accompanying the chief adviser during his Rangpur visit.
Upon his arrival at Dhaka airport on Thursday from France, Dr Yunus recalled Abu Sayeed and became emotional.
"At this moment, I am remembering Abu Sayeed, whose image is etched in the memory of every Bangladeshi. Nobody can forget it. What an incredibly brave young man he was! He stood in front of guns, and since then, no young man or woman has given up. They have moved forward and said, shoot as much as you can. We are here," he recalls.
Later, he held a session with students at Begum Rokeya University. Prof Yunus emphasized the pivotal role young people play in shaping the nation.
He urged the youth to take charge of the nation's future, urging them to harness their potential and ensure the country's progress.
"This Rangpur, this Bangladesh, is now in your hands. You have the power to take it wherever you want. This isn't a matter of research-it's a power within you," Prof Yunus told the students, stressing the importance of their leadership.
Prof Yunus paid tribute to Abu Sayed, who sacrificed his life for the country, describing him as an "epic character." He predicted that in the future, "many poems, literature will be written about him," highlighting Sayed's enduring legacy.
Prof Yunus remarked, "The students and youths of Bangladesh have astonished the whole world." He referred to their recent achievements as the country's "second victory," urging them to ensure that this triumph is not lost. "Only you can do it. None of us, the older generation, can," he said, calling for the older generation to step aside and make way for the youth.
Prof Yunus, who assumed his role as Chief Adviser on Thursday, spoke about the necessity of having a vision to accomplish any task. "If there is no dream, there will be chaos. But if you dream and pursue it, what once seemed impossible will be done. The power to make the impossible possible lies within you," he encouraged.
He further urged the youth never to back down, acknowledging that the older generation had failed to guide the nation where it needed to go. "We have failed. Where you were supposed to go, we could not take you there," Prof Yunus admitted.
Prof Yunus also warned the students not to let their efforts be sabotaged by those seeking to undermine their progress. "There are many standing by to make your efforts futile. Don't fail this time," he cautioned.
In a firm commitment to national reform, the Chief Adviser vowed to do whatever is necessary to cleanse the country of its ills. "We will clean everything. We have no relief until we clean everything," he declared.
Addressing recent reports of attacks on minority communities, Prof Yunus unequivocally condemned these acts, calling them "heinous." He called on the youth, saying, "Are they not the people of this country? You have been able to save the country; can't you save some families?" He urged the students to protect all Hindu, Christian, and Buddhist families from harm.
"You must say -- no one can harm them. They are my brothers; we fought together, and we will stay together," he asserted, underscoring the need for national unity.
Prof Yunus concluded by comparing Bangladesh to a beautiful family, unlike any other in the world. "There is no more beautiful family than this. There are many countries in the world, but there is no such beautiful family," he said, calling on the youth to preserve this unity.
On the day he also visited the victims who were injured during the quota reform movement at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RpMCH).
During the visit, Prof Yunus inquired about condition of the injured and gave necessary instructions to the hospital authorities for their proper treatment.
