The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Alyssa Ayres arrived in Dhaka on Sunday on a five-day visit for meetings with senior Bangladesh government officials, political leaders, civil society groups, entrepreneurs and the media. In addition to her activities in Dhaka, Ayres will travel to Sylhet on a visit to USAID Integrated Protected Area Co-Management project site. She will also meet with alumni of US Embassy exchange programmes. She will leave Dhaka on December 2. — UNB
