US State Dept official due in city today

US Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Michael Owen arrives in the city today (Wednesday) on a two-day visit to Bangladesh. During his visit, Owen will meet government officials, parliamentarians, business people and members of civil society to discuss a range of regional and bilateral issues, said a US embassy release Tuesday.
