Voter listing in city kicks off today

The task of preparing voter list for Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) area kicks off today (Tuesday), which the Election Commission (EC) is considering the toughest part of their ongoing countrywide photo voter-list programme, reports UNB.
Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner ATM Shamsul Huda said Monday voter listing in 15 districts got delayed by nine days due to the natural disaster caused by last Thursday's cyclone.
"We're bound to delay the activities for nine days in those areas… But it won't affect implementing the election roadmap as time for natural disaster was also counted in the roadmap," CEC Huda said.
