Ward commissioner of DCC shot dead

A ward commissioner of Dhaka City Corporation and BNP leader was shot dead by unknown assailants at Alubazar in the city's old town Tuesday. Witnesses said a gang of unidentified gunmen opened fire on Haji Ahmed Hossain, president of Dhaka City's Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal South chapter, a wing of the main opposition BNP, at about 7:45pm while he was coming out from a mosque after
saying Esha prayer.
