Bangladesh Newspaper Owners' Association (NOAB) has urged the government to withdraw existing 3.0 per cent duty on import of newsprint in view of sharp increase in its price in the international market, reports UNB.
The association at a meeting Saturday expressed concern at the increase in price of newsprint, to the extent of 100 dollars per tonne, over the last one year.
