A youth was shot dead in the city's Pallabi area Tuesday midnight. The deceased was identified as Shaon (18), son of late Iqbal Hossain of House-11, Line-3 at Pallabi. Family sources said Shaon went out of his house at about 11:30pm Tuesday to watch Jatra, a folk-style stage drama. But did not return home. Locals found Shaon's body in a pool of blood in front of a house in Line-5 early Wednesday and informed the police, who recovered the body at about 6:00 am and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. --- UNB
