1,151 BGB platoons deployed across country

A total of 1,151 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed all over the country, including Dhaka city, to maintain law and order during the upcoming 12th national elections with a view to making it free, fair and peaceful, reports BSS.

The BGB will work as a mobile and striking force to maintain peace and discipline across the country from December 29, 2023 to January 10, 2024 under 'In Aid to the Civil Power' to support the local civil administration, a BGB press release said in Dhaka on Friday.
