127 school students fall unconscious in 6 dists

Some 127 more students of six schools in Narayanganj, Narsingdi, Gazipur, Bagerhat, Jhenidah and Natore districts fell unconscious Wednesday, reports UNB.
In Narayanganj, 36 students and two teachers of Adarsha High School of Mithabo village under Rupganj upazila fainted with convulsion one after another from 8:30am to 12 noon.
The sick students and teachers were sent to Rupganj Upazila Health Centre and local clinics. Later, one of the teachers, Nasreen Jahan, and 15 students were moved to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition.
The school was closed soon after the incident as it triggered panic among the local people.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Khairul Kabir visited the spot. In Gazipur, 11 students of different classes of Malek Chowdhury Memorial Girls' High School under Kaliakoir Upazila fell unconscious Wednesday morning.
Of them, six were admitted to Kaliakoir Upazila Health Complex and the others were released after first aid.
Authorities closed the school for three days.
The Civil Surgeon of the district and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer visited the spot.
In Bagerhat, 19 students of different classes of Bagerhat Government High School fainted Wednesday noon.
