Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 13 suspected members of dopers' gangs (Oggyan party) in separate incidents from different parts of the city Monday night, reports UNB.
So far, 27 suspected dopers were arrested over the last 29 days until Monday from different areas in the city as the DB of DMP has intensified their drive against the dopers ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of DMP Masudur Rahman.
He said 58 people were rendered unconscious in 54 incidents of doping in the capital during the period. Of them, two have died while under treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
As part of the ongoing action against the dopers, two special teams of DB police launched simultaneous drives in different areas of the city Monday night and arrested the 13 members of dopers' gangs.
