150,000 Saudi Riyals seized at airport

Customs officials seized 1.5 lakh (150,000) Saudi Riyals from a Singapore-bound passenger at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city, reports BSS.

On a tip-off, a team of the officials seized one packet from the passenger M Mojibur Rahman at about 7:45pm, Assistant Commissioner of Customs Madhab Bikash Dev Roy told the news agency.

He said the passenger was scheduled to leave the airport by a flight of Tiger Airways at 11pm.

A case was filed in this connection.
