3 teens die in Tangail road accident

At least three teenage boys have died after an autorickshaw collided head-on with a motorcycle in Tangail's Basail Upazila.
The accident occurred around 11:30am on Sunday near Bangra Kalibari in Kashil Union of the Upazila, said Basail Police Station chief Alamgir Kabir, reports bdnews24.com.
The dead have been identified as Takbir Mia, 15,  Limon, 14, and Saimon, 14. They all hailed from Bangra village in the Upazila.
Citing locals, police said that the three teenagers were heading towards Basail on a motorcycle in the morning. On the way, their motorcycle veered out of control in front of Bangra Kalibari on the Basail-Bhatkura road and collided head-on with a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw travelling in the opposite direction.
One person died on the spot. The other two were critically injured, rescued and sent to the Tangail General Hospital.
Police officer Kabir said that of the two injured, one died while undergoing treatment at the hospital and the other died while being transferred to Dhaka for advanced treatment.
