36 more killed in clashes in 6 dists in two days

At least 36 more people were killed in political clashes, attacks, and acts of vandalism in different districts on Monday and Tuesday, reports UNB.
The districts are Lalmonirhat, Khulna, Gazipur, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Noakhali.
In Khulna, three people, including Koyra Upazila Chairman and Upazila Awami League President GM Mohsin Reza, were killed in a mob attack on Monday evening.
The attack occurred after Reza allegedly opened fire on a victory procession, injuring several people.
According to locals and police, the procession was organised by local residents to celebrate after hearing news of Sheikh Hasina's resignation as PM and departure from the country. As the procession passed by Reza's residence, he allegedly fired seven shots from his pistol, wounding seven individuals, including Sabbir, Altaf, Abu Musa, and Nuruzzaman.
In response, the enraged crowd stormed Reza's residence, attacked him and his two associates, and set fire to the property. All three victims died at the scene, reportedly from the fire.
In Lalmonirhat, houses of two Members of Parliament and more than 100 leaders and activists of Awami League were vandalised and set ablaze on Monday night.
Lalmonirhat Fire Service reported the recovery of six charred bodies from the residence of district AL joint secretary Suman Khan. The bodies of the unidentified people were recovered from the fourth floor of the house around 4:30 am.
Acting Station Officer Shahidur Rahman confirmed the recovery of the bodies, which have been taken to Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station.
In Gazipur, at least eight people were killed and several injured in separate clashes between Ansar men, BGB and protesters in Kaliakair and Sreepur areas on Monday.
In Kaliakair, some agitated people attacked Safipur Ansar VDP Academy and carried out massive vandalism.
At that time, Ansar members fired gunshots at the people who attacked the Ansar Academy, leaving two people dead and many more injured, witnesses said.
In another incident, six people were shot dead and more than 50 people suffered injuries when BGB members opened fire in the morning in the Sreepur area.
Md Obaidullah, manager of Alhera Medical Center in Mawna Chowrasta, said that the bodies of five people were brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
In Kushtia, at least eight people, including a child, were killed and over a hundred others were injured in clashes with police.
The incident occurred around noon on Monday, following an attack on the Kushtia Model Police Station and the Police Superintendent's Office. The police opened fire after being attacked, resulting in the casualties.
In Chuadanga, at least four people were burned to death after some agitated people set fire to the house of Arefin Alam Ranju, former convenor of the district Jubo League, in the cinema area of the town.
As of 11:30pm on Monday, the identities of the victims could not be ascertained.
Eyewitnesses said that around 4 pm, a group of unidentified people broke the main gate of Jubo League leader Arefin Alam's house and tried to enter.
In Noakhali, seven people, including four policemen, were killed in an attack at the Sonaimuri Police Station.
Noakhali Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Asaduzzaman confirmed the news of the mob lynching, which occurred between 5:15pm and 6pm on Monday.
The deceased policemen have been identified as SI Md Basir, ASI Md Nasir, and constables Mosharraf and Gias.
