Four directors were elected to the board of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) for a three-year term Wednesday.
Md Rafiqul Islam of Parkway Securities Ltd, Md Shakil Rizvi of Shakil Rizvi Stock Ltd, Md Feroz Khan of Eminent Securities Ltd and Md Shahjahan of Jahan Securities Ltd won in the elections.
Out of total 227 DSE members, 186 cast their vote. A total of eight candidates contested in the DSE elections.
The newly elected directors replaced Sharif Ataur Rahman, Md Abdullah Bokhari, Azizul Hoque and Shahed Abdul Khaleque.
According to the DSE constitution, four elected directors retire every year from the 12-member policy-making body and four others replace them through direct voting.
