4 militants held in Ctg with huge cache of arms

RAB presented before media four suspected militants on Monday, arrested through raids in different parts of Chittagong city with five AK-22 rifles, five pistols and a huge cache of ammunition. — Focus Bangla
CHITTAGONG, Apr 13: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four suspected militants and seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from different areas of the port city in overnight raids.
The arms and ammunition include five AK-22 rifles, five foreign pistols, 10 magazines of AK-22 rifles, five pistol magazines, one SBBL (single barrel) guns, one LG (local gun) and 3668 ammunition, assistant director (media) Md Sohail Ahmed of RAB-7 said.
Acting on a tip-off that the militants would sell arms in the residential Hotel Midtown, a team of RAB-7 raided the hotel at around 10.30 pm on Sunday and detained arms supplier Mojaher Hossain Miah (35), son of Delwar Hossain Miah of north Kanchana under Satkania police station from room no. 259.
They also detained Sabbir Ahmed alias Muhib (23), son of Abul Kalam Fatik of Gulgaon under Chunarughat police station of Habiganj with four foreign 7.65 mm pistols, four pistol magazines, 1,000 ammunitions of .22 bore pistol, 12 rounds of 7.65 mm pistol ammunition and one motor cycle.
Acting on information, the RAB members detained two militants from the Syamoli bus counter at the AK Khan gate under the Akbar Shah police station.
The detained militants are Md Kamal Uddin alias Mostafa (24), son of Anwar Hossain of Indra Naya Char, Dhamrai, Dhaka and Ashraf Ali alias Adnan (25), son of Moulana Abdul Huq, village Parsha, of Naogaon district with two Chittagong-Dhaka bus tickets and four mobile phones.
During primary interrogation, the arrested people said arms and ammunition have been kept hidden in the residence of Masud Rana alias Fahad at the Cosmopolitan residential area.
