46 rivers register rise, 35 fall

Water levels in 46 rivers stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 35 stations recorded falls, reports BSS.

Among the 84 monitored water level stations, none is above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said Wednesday.

The Brahmaputra is in falling trend which may likely to continue in next 72-hour.

The Jamuna River has started falling which may likely to continue in next 72-hour.

The Ganges-Padma river system are in rising trend which may likely to continue in next 24-hour.

Except Surma-Kushiyara the river systems in north eastern part are in falling trend. This situation may likely to continue in next 24-hour.

A total of 40mm rainfall was recorded during last 24-hour ending at 6am today at Sunamganj, 40mm at Rangamati, 34mm at Dalia and 29mm at Panchagarh.
