Five members of the Public Service Commission (PSC) have been 'relieved' of their post, in the current purge of the recruiting agency for government cadre officials. President Iajuddin Ahmed has "relieved them of the post of PSC member through accepting their resignation letters," said an official announcement Sunday. The five who got their marching orders are Latifur Rahman, Mohammad Fazlul Haque, AKM Shahadat Hossain Mondal, Mohammad Anwarul Haque and Mohammad Ashraful Islam. Another member of the PSC, Mahfuzur Rahman, who was accused of massive corruption, had resigned earlier after his name appeared on the list of corruption suspects published on March 8. —UNB
