620 new Covid cases, 2 deaths in country

Bangladesh recorded 620 cases of COVID-19 Friday, taking the overall tally of infections to 2,000,899, reports bdnews24.com.

The death toll from the disease climbed by two in 24 hours to 29,258, according to the latest government data released on Friday.

As many as 7,419 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 8.36 per cent.

Among the eight divisions, Dhaka logged the highest number of cases, with 270 infections.

Another 1,765 people recovered from the illness nationwide.
