FE Report | October 24, 2014 00:00:00

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday interrogated LGED chief engineer and vice-chairman of Bangladesh Central Freedom Fighters Council (BCFFC) Wahidur Rahman and two others in connection with freedom fighter (FF) certificate forgery.

ACC deputy director Farid Ahmed Patwari questioned them from 10 am to 2 pm at the ACC head-office, said ACC public relations officer.

ACC on October 15 summoned Wahidur Rahman to appear at its office on October 23 to discuss the allegation regarding FF certificate forgery.

BCFFC vice-chairman S M Mortuza Hossain and office secretary Mahbubul Haque Chisty were also grilled Monday, as they recommended Wahidur Rahman as a freedom fighter during collection of his FF certificate.

According to allegations received earlier by ACC, Wahidur collected the certificate without properly maintaining the procedure, and got his job extended by two years with it.
