Adviser Bashir made Biman chairman

Sk Bashir Uddin, adviser to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, has been appointed as the chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines' board of directors, reports bdnews24.com.

His appointment sparked questions over a minister-ranked advisor leading an organisation under the same ministry.

The ministry's notification issued on Tuesday said Sk Bashir Uddin, adviser to the civil aviation ministry, has been appointed the chairman of Biman’s board under powers granted by the 1977 Biman Corporation Ordinance and the company's articles of association.
