Ahmed Azam Khan sworn in as minister

Ahmed Azam Khan, Member of Parliament from Tangail-8 constituency, was sworn in on Thursday as a new minister.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath to Ahmed Azam Khan, reports BSS.

He took the oath at around 12:45 pm at the Office of the President at the Jatiya Sangsad. Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani conducted the swearing-in ceremony.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was present on the occasion.

Earlier, the Cabinet Secretary announced the name of the new member of the cabinet.

His induction into the cabinet is expected to be followed by an assignment to a portfolio to begin his state duties in the current administration.
