Avijit murder evidence handed over to FBI

Evidence related to the murder of Avijit Roy has been given to the FBI, reports agencies.
The samples which were collected from the spot will examined at the Federal Bureau of Investigation laboratory for DNA test.
Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch of Police Monirul Islam disclosed this Saturday.
Monirul said that Bangladeshi investigators handed over 12 to 13 pieces of evidence, including two machetes, a bag, and blood samples.
Earlier on Tuesday, A Dhaka court permitted police to conduct the DNA test of Avijit Roy murder evidence at the FBI laboratory.
The court also asked the law enforcers to carry out the DNA test of the blogger's body at the forensic department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
