Badda murder suspect dies in shootout

An alleged criminal was killed in a shootout with the Detective Branch (DB) of police at Badda in the city early Sunday, reports UNB.
The gunfight ensued early in the morning when the criminals fired gunshots at DB men forcing them to retaliate soon after they had reached the Projapati Garden area of Satarkul of Badda along with detained Nurul Islam alias Nuree, 35, to nab his accomplices and recover firearms, a DB official said.
Nuree, who was arrested on Saturday soon after he shot dead one Badsha, 30, at Merul Badda fish market, was wanted in a number of criminal cases.
