Bangladesh reported zero Covid-19 death and 19 fresh cases from the virus on Friday.
The figures were four and zero respectively on Thursday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the latest daily counts, the total fatalities from coronavirus reached 29,127 and the total caseload exceeded 1.95 million since the virus was detected first in the country in March 2020.
Some 3,455 samples were tested until 8:0am on the day while 3,456 samples were collected during the same period, the DGHS data revealed.
However, the Covid-19 test positivity rate increased 0.55 per cent on the day against the previous day's rate of 0.18 per cent.
On the other hand, a total of 258 people recovered from Covid-19 in the country during the last 24-hour reporting time.
The rate of recovery was 97.15 per cent on the day, the DGHS figures revealed.
On the other hand, the rate of fatalities from coronavirus disease remained static at 1.49 per cent.
More than 1.89 million people recovered from the deadly disease in the country until Friday.
However, over 14 million samples have, so far, been tested in the country, according to official data.
