BD daily Covid death zero, fresh cases 35

Thirty-five Covid-19 cases and zero death from the virus were reported in Bangladesh on Thursday.
The figures were 22 and zero respectively on Wednesday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the latest daily counts, the total fatalities from Covid-19 reached 29,127 in the country since the virus was detected in the country in March 2020,
Some 5,864 samples were tested during the last 24 hours until 8:0am on Thursday while 5,772 samples were collected during the period.
However, the Covid-19 test positivity inched up to 0.60 per cent, up from the previous day's 0.44 per cent.
According to the DGHS, a total of 216 people recovered from the coronavirus disease in the country during the last 24-hour reporting time.
The rate of recovery was 97.30 per cent on the day, the DGHS figure revealed.
However, the rate of fatalities from coronavirus disease remained static at1.49 per cent on the day.
According to the official data, the total Covid-19 cases have exceeded 1.95 million in Bangladesh and nearly 1.90 million of them had recovered from the deadly disease.
More than 14 million samples have been tested across the country so far.
