Bangladesh has reported 48 more Covid-19 cases with no death in the last 24 hours till Friday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With the latest infections, the entire caseload rose to 1,951,995 while death toll due to the respiratory disease caused by the virus remains same at 29,123.
The daily test positivity rate slightly increased to 0.77 per cent from Thursday's 0.65 per cent after medical screening of 6,230 samples from 879 labs across the country.
At the same time, some 660 people got cured from the viral infections, taking the tally of recovery to 1,887,323. The recovery rate stands at 96.69 per cent.
