BD sees another deathless day as Covid infects 28

Bangladesh logged 28 new Covid-19 cases in the 24-hour period until Saturday morning taking the total cases to 19,52,023.
As no new death was reported in the period, total number of fatalities from the viral disease remained unchanged at 29,123.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the figures in its daily bulletin.
According to it, 610 people recovered from the disease in the 24-hour period taking the total figure of recoveries to 18,87,933.
The DGHS reported the recovery rate at 96.72 per cent and fatality rate at 1.49 per cent for the entire period.
It also logged the infection rate at 0.62 per cent for the 24 hours and 14.06 per cent for the entire pandemic period.The country reported first positive case and fatality in March 2020.
Some 4,491 samples were tested in the latest timing, that culminated in a total of 1,38,82,935 samples tests so far in the country.
Currently 879 laboratories are operating in the country.
