The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed in Dhaka, Gazipur, Chattog-ram, Bogura, Rangpur and Rajshahi to maintain law and order situation amid the ongoing quota reform movement across the country.
"In the wake of the ongoing quota reform movement, BGB has been deployed in Dhaka, Gazipur, Chattogram, Bogura, Rangpur and Rajshahi to maintain law and order situation," said a press release issued by BGB Public Relations Officer Md Shariful Islam here Tuesday afternoon, report agencies.
Besides, BGB members have also been deployed in Jahangirnagar University (JU) area this evening.
Chattogram correspondent of a news agency reported that three platoons of the BGB have been in place since Tuesday afternoon as three quota protesters died.
