CHITTAGONG, May 14: BGMEA leaders in Chittagong held a meeting with the newly-appointed Commissioner of Customs Bond Commissionerate Md Shafiqul Islam at the Bond Commissionerate office in Chittagong on Wednesday.
In the meeting BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association) first vice president Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury said the local garment sector was passing a crucial time as it had been working hard to attain the RMG export target of US$ 50.0 billion by 2021. BGMEA directors Anjan Shekhar Das,M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, former first vice president Ershad Ullah, SM Abu Tayab, Moinuddin Ahmed (Mintu) and Nasir Uddin Chowdhury also spoke on the occasion.
