BGMEA names Annisul to contest president's post

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Thursday formally proposed the name of its former president Annisul Huq to contest for the post of president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) in the election to be held August 16.
The current president of the BGMEA, Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury (Parvez) announced the name of Annisul Huq at a programme held at the BGMEA building.
Chairman of the Square Group Samson H Chowdhury, president of the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Bangladesh (ICC) Mahbubur Rahman, president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Latifur Rahman, president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Hossain Khaled and chairman of the Anwar Group Anwar Hossain were present in the announcement programme, said a press release.
