State-run Biman is facing problem to maintain its schedule flights as number of its aircraft has gone out of operation all of a sudden due to technical reasons.
Out of four DC-10-30 aircraft, two (S.No- ACQ, ACP) has been grounded for the last couple of days due to technical glitch, Biman official told the FE.
DC-10-30s are the prime carrier for Biman, operating mostly to Far East and Middle Eastern destinations. With about 300 seat capacity, it plays a major role in carrying passengers on high demand routes.
Biman's two Boeing 737 aircraft has also been suffering with frequent technical faults, creating chaos in its regional routes. Similarly, one of its Airbus-310 was grounded for last couple of days due to mandatory technical check. Besides, Biman have only one F-28 aircraft in operation out of three aircraft that the company owns.
"All these technical difficulties and non-operational aircraft have made our job too difficult," Biman official said, requesting anonymity.
