BNP pays homage to Zia

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia along with party leaders and workers Saturday placed wreaths at the Mazar of late President Ziaur Rahman marking the 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day' (Nov 7), reports UNB.
The BNP chairperson, also the Leader of the Opposition in parliament, took part in a Munajat with the party followers, seeking divine blessings for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Ziaur Rahman.
Leaders of BNP and its front and associate organisations, including Khandaker Delwar Hossain, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, M Shamsul Islam, Jamiruddin Sircar, Hannan Shah, Abduallah Al Noman, Selima Rahman, Mirza Abbas, Sadek Hossain Khoka, Barkatullah Bulu MP, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Habibun Nabi Sohel, Shirin Sultana and Sultan Salahuddin Tuku were present on the occasion.
The leaders of the front and associate organisations also laid wreaths separately at Zia's Mazar. Later, the BNP chairperson inaugurated a voluntary blood donation programme arranged by ZISAS on the Mazar premises on the occasion of November 7.
