BTRC to go tough against illeagal VoIP operation

Bangladesh Telecommuni-cation Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has decided to go tough against those engaged in illegal operation of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), sources said Sunday.
They said the decision came at a meeting of the commission on the day after it had observed that a section of Internet Service Providers (ISP) has further engaged with the operation of illegal VoIP.
"We have decided to go tough if found any one involved with the illegal VoIP operation," Maj Gen (retd) Manzurul Alam told the FE.
A BTRC source added that the commission decided to cancel licence of ISP if found involvement with the illegal VoIP operation.
