The speakers said the culprits are yet to be arrested and damages have not been given to the victims of the deadly fire in the old town.
They demanded Tk 1.0 million in compensation for each dead victim and Tk 0.5 million for each injured one.
The rights activists also demanded compensation for others who lost homes, businesses and such.
They demanded that the reports on the investigation into the fire incident be made public and all the chemical storages be relocated to a safe zone.
Leaders and activists of labour trade unions, including Labour Security Forum, spoke at the event.
At least 71 people died and 41 were injured in the fire that raged through a chemical warehouse before engulfing several others nearby buildings.
