CCC fined over bid for hilltop construction

CHITTAGONG, Dec 17: The Department of Environment (DoE) has fined Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) a sum of Tk 0.5 million for illegally constructing Mayor's Bungalow on the top of the Batali Hills in the city.
The director of the DoE fined the CCC after holding hearing on the allegations that the CCC has started construction of the Mayor House without taking clearance from the department.
