An incident of fire took place on Saturday at a market building in the capital's Chawkbazar area.
However, there was no report of casualties.
An official at Fire Service and Civil Defense told the FE that the fire erupted at around 1:34 pm on the third floor of the five-storey building Ashik Tower at Khaja Market.
Six firefighting units from Chawkbazar and Siddique Bazar areas rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze at around 5:15 pm.
The fire service official further said that the cause of fire and extent of damage could be ascertained after getting investigation report.
