Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen on Sunday met with Environment, Forests and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan at her office at the Secretariat in the city, reports BSS.
During the meeting, Rizwana, also Water Resources Adviser, said China is a development partner of Bangladesh. The government is interested in implementing the Ganga Barrage Project and a technical and financial master plan is being prepared with the cooperation of the Chinese government, she added.
The Chinese ambassador said that China is interested in working with Bangladesh to protect water resources and environmental balance.
He assured Bangladesh of all kinds of cooperation.
Water Resources Senior Secretary Md Mokabbir Hossain and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Song Yang, among others, were present at the event.
