Cocktail blasts on Dhaka court premises during vote

At least two cocktails exploded on Thursday at the premises of the Dhaka Judge Court while voting for the Dhaka Bar Association was taking place.
Witnesses reported that nobody was injured in the incident.
Voting for the Dhaka Bar Association election for the session 2024-2025 was underway for the second consecutive day on Thursday. At one point during the voting, a group of people stole some ballot papers, causing a suspension of voting for hours.
After a break at 3:30 pm, voting resumed and two cocktails exploded near the voting centre, according to Advocate Taherul Islam Tawhid, an eyewitness of the incident.
The lawyer mentioned that no one was injured in the cocktail blasts, and voting was not suspended as a result.
However, Officer in Charge of the Kotwali Police Station in Dhaka, Mahfuzur Rahman, stated that they have no information about the incident.
