Cops nab three Pubali Bank officers in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 14: Three Pubali Bank officers have been arrested in Chattogram on charge of embezzlement of nearly Tk 130 million from Chawkbazar branch in the city.

Manjurul Islam, Deputy General Manager of Pubali Bank Chawkbazar Branch, handed them over to the police today for embezzlement of Tk 128,550,000 from the bank, Chawkbazar police said. The police said DGM Manjurul filed a case against seven persons including the three officers.

The arrested are Enamul Karim Chowdhury, manager of the branch, officer (computer) Chandan Dey and junior officer Ikramul Reza Rezvi.

Four others accused in the case are on the run, the police said, adding that they are trying to nab them.
