CNG-run auto-rickshaws waiting in a long queue in front of a refuelling station in Chattogram’s Pologround on Tuesday — Focus Bangla CHATTOGRAM, Sep 11: The city's gas supply suffered problems that hit most parts of it leaving the domestic consumers in trouble.
The gas distribution authority failed to supply gas for about five hours on the day for glitch in the CNG gas supply line at Anwara City Gate Gas Station, officials said.
Residents from different areas in the city said the domestic consumers did not get gas supply from early morning to about 10.30 am and in some areas the pressure of gas was unusually low.
When contacted, Anupam Datta, a senior officer of Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Co, said the Anwara City Gate Gas Station suffered technical faults with the supply of gas from late night on Monday and it hampered gas supply to some areas in the city on Tuesday morning.
He, however, denied any gas problem faced by the CNG filling stations in the city.
